"The greatest benefit I've experienced with Tae Kwon Do is in helping me to live and cope with Crohn's disease. It is a painful and chronic inflammatory condition with no cure. While working towards my black belt, I had 2 minor and 1 major surgeries for Crohn's disease, and Tae Kwon Do definitely improved my recovery times and motivated me to get back.
Being able to do Tae Kwon Do is therapeutic, boosts my immune system, and keeps me mentally strong enough to not only endure the bad days, but to also to know that I can always come back, maybe even stronger. I love having extra energy, and have never felt more fit and healthy in the 18 years I've had to live with the disease.
Another benefit of Tae Kwon Do is that I feel I could better defend myself if it ever became necessary. I'm a petite female, but at least now I've got the skills and instinct to fight back, along with the empowerment that attaining a second degree black belt gave me.

Our family has been attending Park's Tae Kwon Do for 12 years. Both of my sons started at age four. They are now third degree black belts and very accomplished martial artists. After seeing the positive influence Master Jacob Park had on my two boys, I decided to start working out with them. The first lesson I learned is that the kicks, punches, and forms easily performed by my children are very difficult. Master Jacob Park's positive influence and guidance helped me through a difficult first year.
Because of Master Jacob Park's knowledge of martial arts, body mechanics, and positive training techniques, at 54 years of age I am in the best physical shape of my life. I look forward to the challenging workouts and seeing the positive changes in my body. I would like to thank Master Jacob Park for his patience, kindness, and positive regard for me and my family.

When I first started going to Park's Taekwondo, I was completely out of shape. I would be panting within minutes of the lessons. But Master Park was always inspiring and taking it easy on me while still giving me a complete work out. I would be completely exhausted by the end and would have to take the rest of the day off. Now I can make it through the sessions and still be able to enjoy the rest of my night.
Park's Taekwondo is a great workout; it is helping me get my flexibility up and my stamina while teaching me self defense. Learning self defense has greatly increased my confidence, too. I'm more willing to make an effort to talk to people, which has even gotten me a job interview recently.
I would recommend this to anyone who's feeling like they need to get in shape or even just get a little more active. The low stress atmosphere of Park's Taekwondo is a great place to get in shape and make new friends.
